Dr. Gerald Coy is currently assisting in the development of Chiropractic in Asia. He is on the Board of Trustees of the largest and finest private hospital in Hangzhou, China. The new center will first offer positions to doctors in the United States. Then students will come from China, and other countries, to be educated in U.S. Chiropractic colleges.

The Hangzhoa Aid Hospital Dr. Coy is seeking financial support throughout Asia, which will bring additional funding into Chiropractic. Clinics are being planned in Malaysia as well as Brunei and other countries in the region. All of these locations will offer U.S. Chiropractors the opportunity to bring Chiropractic to millions in these countries.

Ongoing funding is the most essential element for these programs. CCI is developing: CHER Foundation – China CHER Foundation – Malaysia CHER Foundation – Brunei All of these divisions will have the ongoing responsibility of seek continuous funding to support the programs which will be instituted in their respective countries.

One of the challenges in Chiropractic is the lack of “product” and “manufacturer” support for the profession. We have all heard and talked about the influence and support that the drug companies have for the Medical profession. Chiropractic is service oriented and does not have that kind of “product” support.

This is one of the reasons that seeking support from the public is essential if Chiropractic is to reach its rightful position as the leader of the Natural Healthcare Professions. As a means of offsetting the inequity, CCI and all of the CHER divisions have aligned themselves with product-based businesses to obtain essential funding.

These programs are being presented to the profession as a way of bringing in millions of dollars annually to assist in Chiropractic growth and development. This is ongoing and allows for continuous support over the years to bring about major improvements within our profession. There are a lot of things that can be accomplished, but financial support is needed.

Above all, this organization can be the means by which every one of our dreams can be realized. By developing the funding source through the support of the colleges and the profession, the future is unlimited.

Malaysia is a country in South Asia split from the Asian continent where it occupies the Malaysian Peninsula with Thailand to the North and Singapore at the Southern tip. The other half of the country occupies the northern portion of the Island of Borneo with the Southern portion belonging to Indonesia.

Malaysia also surrounds the small country of Brunei on the northern shores of the Island. This country is a Muslim country and which speaks primarily Malay but a lot of English from the days of British involvement with the country. The country is quickly developing its industrial base and maintains a very modern culture. Its largest city is Kuala Lumpur which has the [current] tallest building in the world, the KL Towers.

CHER is involved with this country through the development of its nutritional programs through the efforts of Dr. Gerald Coy. With the involvement of the Institute with the nutritional program of 4LIFE Research, CHER Foundation is expanding its programs in Malaysia by developing the CHER-Malaysia charitable organization. This group will be funded through the nutritional programs.

The relationship of this nutritional program has been developed to create an ongoing financial base for the Institute as well as offering natural products which can better service the patients throughout the country.  Depending on the level of funding created through the nutritional program, will determine what programs will be created.

Some of the suggested programs will be a CHER Clinic which will make Chiropractic more available to the average individual. There are a few Chiropractic facilities in the country; yet, the cost is geared to the more affluent public individuals and not the lower income population which the CHER Clinic will be established to service.

Through this clinic will be programs to assist the general public in alternative health care not previously available. To establish this program will require the employment of American graduated chiropractors who will be given the opportunity to come to a foreign country and create this chiropractic program.

To continue the program and do develop greater involvement in chiropractic, CHER-Malaysia will be offering scholarships for interested Malaysian students interested in coming to the United States to study at one of our Chiropractic Colleges. Through the scholarship program will be the requirement that the student return to their country and continue in the CHER Clinic that has been established.

If you are interested in this or other programs in foreign countries please contact the Institute.

Brunei is a little country in the northern shores of the Island of Borneo and is surrounded by the Malaysian portion of the Island [versus the Indonesian portion]. This country is ruled by the Sultan of Brunei and is a wealthy country due to its oil reserves. The population is around 350,000 and they speak English and Malay. A quiet country with a long history, this country has a unique opportunity in the Asian world to be a leader in health care.  [For more information see www. Brueni.com]

CHER is involved with this country through an invitation by the Ministry of Health to Dr. Gerald Coy to make a presentation of a nutritional health program for use in the Brunei Hospitals. This presentation will be in early 2007 and will be made before the Sultan of Brunei and the Ministry of Health department.  The relationship of this nutritional program has been developed to create an ongoing financial base for the Institute as well as offering natural products which can better service the patients in the hospital of that country.

The presentation will therefore be made through a division of the Coy Chiropractic Institute and CHER Foundation referred to as CHER-BRUNEI and will be incorporated as a Brunei charitable corporation. Through CHER-Brunei there will be developed various chiropractic programs to assist in the health care of the country. Depending on the level of funding created through the nutritional program, will determine what programs will be created.

Some of the suggested programs will be the first Chiropractic Clinic in the country. Through this clinic will be programs to assist the general public in alternative health care not previously available. To establish this program will require the employment of American graduated chiropractors who will be given the opportunity to come to a foreign country and create the first chiropractic program.

To continue the program and do develop greater involvement in chiropractic, CHER-Brunei will be offering scholarships for interested Brunei students interested in coming to the United States to study at one of our Chiropractic Colleges. Through the scholarship program will be the requirement that the student return to their country and continue in the CHER Clinic that has been established.

If you are interested in this or other programs in foreign countries please contact the Institute.
