The Chiropractic Profession offers the public tremendous benefit from a variety of healthcare services; such as massage therapy, chiropractic adjustments and nutrition.  The Coy Chiropractic Institute (CCI) is reaching out to educate you, the public, and extend awareness and knowledge of those benefits.

CCI was founded in 1978 by Dr. Gerald L. Coy, a 1965 Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate.  Dr. Coy has invested the past 28 years to increasing awareness of the benefits of the largest drugless healing profession in the country.  Chiropractic is an alternative to the devastation frequently caused by overmedication and misdiagnoses.

PAIN IS NOT TO BE TOLERATED.  Pain occurs when a nerve is irritated and that nerve then sends pain signals to your brain and signals to your muscles to tighten, creating a spasm.   Pain in your foot could be caused by a pinched nerve in your back.  A headache can be caused by misaligned vertebrae which might be pinching nerves in your neck.  A chronic condition is one where the pain has persisted for days, weeks or longer and just does not get better.  A visit to your chiropractor can bring long-lasting relief by releasing the source of the pain.

Chiropractors are primary care doctors and many can evaluate your situation and order more tests, or even offer a referral to the appropriate medical specialist.  CCI can also provide suggestions on nutrition, therapy and home rehabilitation which may help you.

For additional information on the benefits of Chiropractic care, contact the Coy Chiropractic Institute at 562-776-1727. Also ask about services offered at the CCI “CHER Clinic,” Chiropractic Health Education Research.  CHER makes Chiropractic available to low income families, and the uninsured, with an “ability to pay” program. Walk-ins are welcome.
