WELCOME TO CCI
CCI, the Coy Chiropractic Institute was founded in 1978 by Dr. Gerald L. Coy, a 1965 Palmer graduate, who sought to bring more public awareness and support into the Chiropractic profession. It took over 5 years of work before the IRS granted the Institute a 501(c)(3) status, as a PUBLIC non-profit charitable organization. This unique position allows the Coy Chiropractic Institute access to the public via medium not available to other Chiropractic non-profit corporations.
CCI’s introduction in 1981 was held at the internationally acclaimed Crystal Cathedral, with the assistance of author/lecturer, Mark Victor Hanson [author of the Chicken Soup Book series].
Other famous supporters included Cavett Roberts, “Tremendous” Jones and others who made this public introduction of the Institute a milestone for the profession.
The Institute has developed educational programs and scoliosis screenings in public and parochial schools. CCI has received funding from United Way’s charitable giving program, and support through the Red Cross. CCI has conducted numerous fundraising efforts over the years including the first "canister" campaign for Chiropractic programs.
